Declaration about the Relation between CBHD and EVD

　   Regarding the word from some websites and newspaper about the CBHD infringement, China High-definition DVD Industry Association (Hereinafter CHDA) makes the declaration as follows:

1. CBHD products have been researched and developed for over two years and equipped with entire video system technical specification. CBHD products does not relate with EVD completely. ?　 　
2. The authoring system applying to CBHD is an independent authoring system. It is impossible for the CBHD authoring system to infringe patents of other products.
3. In CBHD Video System Specification, AVS audio & video is specified as one of AV codec format for CBHD products. It has been authorized by AVS, so the word of infringement is unreasonable.
4. Some report of related media is not identical with the actual situation so that it results in very bad and serious effect. CHDA will reserve the right for appeal.
